I'll just post shit about myself here every now and again

because I don't know how to talk to people

trying to make some progress on a half life themed story about the resistance before gordon's

arrival, but im kinda stuck at this one part at the start of the story. I know where I want

to go with it, but it's difficult creating the content around it. good practice for the stuff

I wanna write later though so it's fine.

I also really have not been studying at all, and I know I should but for some reason I've been

slacking off and not really doing anything at all.

I've been playing some really cool games recently, those being minesweeper and Entropy Zero 2.

I'm gonna be honest, I had zero expectations for minesweeper, but it's turned out to be literally

one of my favourite games ever. The way it blends strategy, difficulty, skill, and fun most of all

is phenomenal and completely blew me away. Funnily enough, I got most of my friends to play it, which

truly is such a pleasure. Maybe it's because of how easy the game is to understand, and how casual it is,

but whatever the case, it's really very fun having an interest to share with my friends. I tried intro-

ducing a lot of them to half life, but I don't think that franchise is for everyone. I don't think any of

them really like it that much, which kinda sucks...

yeah thats about it for today

28/5/25

today is the four month anniversary of my relationship with my girlfriend

I bought some chocolate yesterday to give it to her today, but the problem is that at school we don't really

get that much time alone, so there's not really a good situation where I could give her the chocolate (also

im terrible at socialising). So, I decided on this epic plan:

1) Wake up early

2) Leave home early so i can get to school early, before she does

3) Leave the chocolate in her locker

I might be the planner guys

anyway she really liked it and i feel really happy right now :)))))

I love her a lottt

Also I keep fucking up in minesweeper so i need to lock in

I actually feel like I'm going somewhere with my half life story and I'm pretty happy about that. The story's

really taking shape right now

Sooo I haven't written here in a while so yeah lol i have a lotta things to say

first of all is entropy zero 2. I mentioned it in the last log, but I'll expand on it now. It's basically a

separate fanmade campaign for half life 2 where you play as the bad guy, and lemme just say I really was not

liking the part I was up to. KInd of ruined my outlook on the game because I was looking foward to playing it

since it had such glowing reviews. Well, it turns out, I had the game set to hard mode, like an idiot. see,

I had started a hard mode playthrough of half life 2 while i played EZ2 for the first time, and because EZ2 is a

mod for half life 2, of course all my settings would carry over to that. I mean, it's not like hard mode isn't fun

or anything for EZ2, it's just that i thought i set the game on medium, and thus those were my expectations for the

sort of gameplay I would be getting. I am so dumb.

But yeah, im enjoying it now that i fixed that problem lol

Also, a new dlc came out for powerwash simulator yesterday and i played it today, and let me just say, I think powerwash

simulator is one of the best games of all time (at least in my opinion). I had such a fun time playing this dlc and im just

so excited for pws2. I'm also nearly finished with the dlc, which is kinda bittersweet because i want more loll

also since last time, ive gotten a LOT better at minesweeper. I haven't played it much recently, but I am actually decent now.

oh, and, i delivered on that dumbass promise i made to my friend that i would do that one trending chinese dance, and let me just

say that that was simulatenously the most painful and most enlightening 2 hours of my life. Very good result in the end, and im

happy. I would say that im never going to do something like that ever again, but knowing me, I most likely will. I pray for the

me in the future who comes up with another one of these braindead ideas.

so i finished invincible a couple of days ago and completely forgot to talk about it. Not only that, but I also finished Andor too

yesterday, so I'll write down my thoughts on these shows.

first of all: andor.

Andor season 2 was fucking epic. i loved every aspect of it, and it truly showed me why i love star wars so much. My only complaint

is that it very obviously seemed like 4 seasons squished into one, which makes sense considering tony gilroy came out to say that

those pigs over at disney only allowed 2 seasons for the show. It really is a bummer, considering how masterfully written the show is

and how much better it could have been had it been longer. You can see how everything was only fleshed out to a certain degree in each

year, and it would have been so cool to see each of these year-long arcs explored as deeply as the season 1 arc was -- which was the

original vision. Sucks, but it does not discredit how fucking amazing season 2 is regardless.

now, about invicible.

I'll just preface this by saying it is

1) a lot better than i remember

2) a lot better than i thought it would be

as with all superhero media nowadays, i was pretty skeptical of invincible when i started to rewatch it. Of course, I remember it being

decent, but i was not prepared for the intensity of its emotional moments and how surprisingly good its writing was. When watching it for

the first time, i had only finished season 1, and didn't really know what would come next in the story, especially since season 1 was all

just buildup for the rest of invincible. I think it's the weakest of the 3 seasons currently out, and although that doesn't mean it's bad,

the best episode in the season is without a doubt the last one, by a mile. It's where everything comes to a head, and it doesn't dilly

dally with the horrible mark/amber romance plot or fucking doc seismic. it's incredible.

Season 2, though, is what really blew me away. I watched most of it in only a day, and i have to say, it probably has some of my favourite

episodes. it's in season 2 that invincible showed off what it really was, how good its writing was. The introduction of the viltrumites was

chilling, especially in thraxa when they confronted mark and nolan. Nolan's arc in prison with Allen that extends into season 3 is just peak,

and makr's confrontation with angstrom is SO GOOD.

season 3 had high highs, and low lows.

the first episode just makes me fucking mad because mark was beaten by doc seismic, of all fucking villains, RIGHT after having become like

over a hundred times stronger than in season 2. Well, it's fine. episode 2 was very good, so was 3, and majority of 4. Allen and Nolan prison

scenes good as always, but mark going to the future was just... eh. Episode 5 fucking sucked. I wish it never happened, and i'll give a good

reason why later.

episode 6 slapped; powerplex is a good villain.

and episode 7 and 8 are peak. best episodes in invicible to DATE. The invincible war was incredibly good, and to follow that up immediately after

with the conquest bossfight is so good. Episode 8, i will never forget. mark using his head to fuck up conquest was SO GOOOOD

only complaint for this season is that the invincible war should have spanned 2 episodes. To me, it seemed really short and didn't quite show the

extent of the damage caused by the invincibles, nor the real terror of all the invincibles. Not enough angstrom levy screentime either.

and do you know what would be a PERFECT fix for that problem? just REMOVE episode 5 ENTIRELY. Split up the invincible war into two parts, which

would also make episode 8 just that much more impactful. fuck episode 5

yeah thats all my thoughts for these shows. cant wait for invisible season 4

22/6/25

i think she wants to break up with me
